| | Janet and Thiago have a new baby! Janet went to the hospital this morning at 4am. I waited all day for news, and … nothing. Finally at 4:30pm, Karen called and had just heard that Elizabeth Cooper was born. She was healthy, 18 inches long, and 9 lbs, 9 ozs. The doctor said there was a slight platelet imbalance which might indicate a low level infection, but other than that all was well. Prayers of thanks are definitely in order. Karen and the kids went to the hospital to see and hold the baby. By comparison, nothing I did at work is of the slightest value. I did go to my presidency meeting this evening. Only 2 of us were there. We discussed our responsibilities and home teaching, and afterwards I put the visits in the computer at church. |
